After completing his undergrad at Brigham Young University, graduating cum laude, Attorney Phipps went on to earn his law degree from J. Reuben Clark School of Law where he graduated a semester early with honors, cum laude.
Before and during his time in law school, Attorney Phipps worked at a law firm that focused on family law. There, he not only developed invaluable skills in meeting with clients and drafting pleadings, he also obtained a better understanding of the emotional and practical challenges many clients face during the litigation process. Additionally, Attorney Phipps worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Lynn Davis of the Fourth District Court of Utah, which provided him with a greater understanding of the behind-the-scenes actions and thought processes that go into judicial decisions. During his final year of law school, Attorney Phipps worked as the senior law clerk for a hotel acquisition and property management corporation. His experience with the company allowed him to enhance his drafting skills as he assisted in preparing multimillion dollar agreements.
After law school, Attorney Phipps immediately passed the California State Bar Exam and began working as an associate attorney with a civil litigation firm in downtown Sacramento. There, he refined his trial and litigation skills in a wide variety of heavily disputed matters. His experience included representing county governments and large corporations in high-profile civil rights and constitutional law cases.
As Forethought Law, PC began to grow, Attorney Phipps made the transition to joining the firm as an associate with a focus on estate litigation. Here, he offers his clients an honest, straightforward approach, providing regular updates throughout the process and remaining highly accessible at each stage. Throughout his career, Attorney Phipps has obtained successful judgements in multiple trials and contested hearings. He is committed to thorough preparation, efficiency, and professionalism, and strives to create meaningful relationships with his clients.
